What's so special about MySpace.com?
The Speaker of the House here again, with a few more thoughts on life in the happy home. I’ve been around for a long time and I’m amazed how things have changed over the years. I need to open up my roof vents and blow off a little steam. There used to be a time when friends and family would gather ‘round my hearth; talking, laughing and sharing their stories and spreading the love. Oh, don’t get me wrong, there are still some who manage to make time to actually get together in the same place at the same time, but the vast majority of people have become accustomed to talking with their fingers instead of their mouths. Imagine that! This strange phenomena has caused my door hinges to get a little rusty and I don’t like it one bit. My doors have always swung open on welcome hinges and it just floors me that doors all over the world are not being used often enough. Something must be done to fix this. Let’s share less on MYSPACE.COM and more at MY SPACE - DO COME. When is the last time that you invited a few friends over? Do you wait until holidays or birthdays? When the days of your youth begin to fade, will you remember the time that you spent staring into SPACE via your computer monitor or staring into the starry eyes of your sweetheart and those that you love? Don’t fuss about setting the table with fancy china and silver or fret about what you’d planned to do with the décor. Have a casual get together, they are so much fun. Play a few games, listen to your latest CD purchase and talk about how much nicer it is to chat with your mouth, not with your hands. Life is too short – have some people over today or tonight. Don’t send an email, it might be too easy for you to have that substitute for the planned event. CALL THEM and say “MY SPACE or YOURS? Please come.” Make this home happy, dial the number.
